High-Speed Copper Uplinks: Cisco GLC-TE SFP Overview
Ensure uncompromising network performance in the harshest environments with the genuine Cisco GLC-TE. This 1000BASE-T copper SFP module converts any open SFP port into a 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 interface, giving you instant Gigabit Ethernet over standard Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling up to 100 meters.
It features Auto-MDI/MDIX for automatic cross-over correction and supports hot-swapping for flexible deployment without downtime. With an extended temperature range of –5 °C to 85 °C, the GLC-TE is ideal for wiring closets, PoE injectors, legacy copper runs, and dense environments where airflow is limited. Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ab and SFP MSA, it integrates seamlessly with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, and ASR platforms.
