The Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Router (ISR) is designed for high-speed WAN connectivity, leveraging high-performance multicore processors that maintain efficiency as services scale. the ISR 4000 series is integrated with Cisco Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA), an open, software-driven architecture that accelerates innovation, delivers insights, and provides exceptional experiences for various applications. In the ISR4321/K9, the default control-plane memory is 4 GB, upgradable to 16 GB to provide additional scalability for control-plane features. New services can be activated on demand through simple licensing changes.
